Very imaginative. I wrote a sort of time travel piece set in an old map shop. Limitless possibilities for transporting folk to other worlds. Lovely writing.
Why…? Why did you do this to me?! I was enjoying your story, but you lost me on “She-God” lines. I am Catholic. I could swallow this and keep reading because I really did like your story up to that point. But… I’m tired of this kinda of stuff. And with a TBR list stretching to eterity, I guess I’ll be moving on.
Please, be careful when toying with religious themes in your writing. I try to be. Maybe it’s just me.
Hi Kathrine, I’m sorry if my story upset you. That certainly wasn’t my intention. I respect all religions and attended several Catholic schools as a child although I am not a Catholic.
I know you didn’t mean to offend anybody. But it left a bad taste in my mouth. My faith means a lot to me. And it’s not the first time I’ve seen writers referring to God as “she”. It must be progressive or something. I’m oldschool. If I hadn’t liked your story I would’ve just moved on without commenting. I like your writerly voice. Maybe I shouldn’t have commented. I usually either say something good or nothing at all. I’m sorry, I’m an impulsive reader.🤷♀️

Thank you!
Very good! Reminds me of Matt Haig's 'The Midnight Library'.
Thanks Johnathan. I know of the Midnight Library but haven’t read it. Case of great minds thinking alike 😁

Thanks Kathrine. I would much rather know, to be honest it hadn’t occurred to me it would upset anyone, so I appreciate you sharing your perspective.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. No idea what genre it is though.
Thanks Jane. Me neither 🤔
