I suppose you don't have to believe in the power of dogs to love this story, but it helps. Funnily, we were talking about the Hans Andersen story the Tinderbox yesterday. I hadn't thought about it for decades!

When I was a child, the BBC showed a series of broadcasts from Eastern Europe, usually fairy tales. The Tinderbox was one that they showed over and over.
